Exercise: A Sequence of composition

For this exercise, i was asked to find a busy setting, such as an event, involving people, Taking as many 'possible' pictures as i could.
I found this exercise quite hard, as the place was so busy, it was hard to take photos without people moving, or somebody knocking me or walking in front of my camera. I found several people grunting or looking slightly less amused if my camera was pointing in their direction, unwilling to be photographed, as subtle or open as i was trying to be. I did find a man, who features in several of my pictures who offered to let me shadow his market experience for a short while, getting a few good photographs.
Here are the photographs that i took:
Here, i tried to take a picture of a couple shopping, they were moving too much for what
i would've liked, so i took one picture and moved on.
I took a picture of a man drinking beer, i was quite happy with this shot and so only took one. I then zoomed in on his hand holding the beer.

I tried to be quick with this picture, as one lady didn't seem very impressed that i was aiming a camera in their direction, so as not to cause any upset i left with one unsuccessful image.
I like this photograph, i like the similarities between the girls outfits, i like how the lighting hits them; it makes them stand out more. I also like how they didn't really fit in, carrying a suitcase through a Christmas fair.

I tried to capture a photograph of a big issue seller approaching people. The more i looked through the view finder, the more he just looked like an average man carrying a paper. I missed the one potential shot of him offering out a magazine as i was not quick enough

I began to shadow a man slightly he was buying a hot dog and so took pictures of the stages of him buying/ garnishing his meal.

I like how in this shot, a man is stood in the centre of the frame looking directly at the camera, as if intentionally posing for the photograph. He has quite a sombre air around him.

I tried to take a couple of picture of a shop keeper interacting with customers. i am quite happy with both of these pictures.

An old fashioned pork scratching seller interacting with a child. I like the interaction between young and old, Modern and old fashioned.

Trying to catch a shop keeper hiding behind a mountain of toys interacting with customers.

I was trying to get a photo of a child sampling sweets, but then another child stepped into the frame looking in my general direction and created what i thought was a better photo opportunity.

I tried to catch an interaction in photographs by photographing only the peoples hands, focusing purely on the subject.

I tried to take a photograph of a person fairly close up and the view around them. i am very pleased with how this photograph turned out. The facial expression of the man, and the direction of his gaze, you can almost tell what he's thinking 'what on earth are you wearing?' about the guy in the wacky jumper.

I stumbled on an ice rink, and took a couple of pictures, i wanted to try and capture something fun, but with the skaters moving so quickly and people constantly skating past the frame this proved difficult. I took a couple of pictures of people skating with friends, holding hands. You can even see a lady taking a picture of herself. Perhaps not as emotive as i would've liked, but you can certainly see people enjoying themselves.
